One Fatality and One Critical Injury Reported After Semi-Truck Strikes SUV
On January 23rd of 2024, it was reported that a semi-truck had struck an SUV in Lower Macungie – causing one fatality and one critical injury. Although both the driver and the occupant were transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition, only the driver survived. The passenger – a 91-year-old senior citizen – passed away due to blunt force trauma to the chest.

On January 23rd of 2024, it was reported that a woman had been struck while attempting to walk across a crosswalk in Upper Hanover. State police say that the accident occurred at about 7:30 AM, and that the driver of the pickup truck involved in the crash remained at the scene. While the driver is cooperating, he will likely face serious consequences for failing to stop before the crosswalk.
